Fallout 3 2009 Game of the year for me. Would've kept playing if the level cap was raised again. |
Forza Motorsport 2 Overlong and dull single player experience. Finding a group of friends to go banger racing in multiplayer is worth the (now not very high) asking price. |
Gears of War 2 Gears of Win. Lots of lovely setpieces to enjoy co-operatively. And many finishing moves to stick it to the locust. Also has chainsaw. With a big gun attached to it. Several MP modes keep you playing for ages past the campaign. |
Resident Evil 5 Only game ever i've got 1000 gamerscore on. Loved it in co-op. Silly plot though and not as terrifying as RE2. |
Left 4 Dead 2 Should have been DLC. Chainsaw is always a comedy weapon though. |
Syndicate Fucking awesome. A classic from the 16bit era. I hope the remake doesn't suck. |
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Another Relic win. Ever reliable co-op skirmish will keep you loving this. |
Half-Life 2 One of the best games ever. Perfect story, pacing, weapons, characterization is sublime, i could go on... |
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare When i'm old i'll be glad I wasted literally months getting the golden weapons in multiplayer. |
Left 4 Dead Amazing co-op zombicidal fun. Rubbish when playing on your own or with twats on XBL. |
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Plotless campaign, video game equivalent of Transformers 2. Multiplayer makes it an essential purchase though. |
Carrier Command Spent too long playing this. I know because I can take out the enemy carrier right at the start which defeats the point of the game. I wish someone would actually remake it, instead of bailing halfway through. |
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II Another masterpiece from Relic games. Can get repetitive toward the end of the campaign though. |
Counter-Strike: Source Dated now, but still exactly where you go to practice pixel perfect headshots. |
Company of Heroes Awesome campaign, skirmish mode esp. in co-op will keep you hooked for months. Dropping a V1 on your foes troops never gets old. |
